Good news Friday

Pat, if this isn't something you want to do, that's okay. But with all the crap news, I would like to install a good news Friday as a way to start off the weekend right.

The San Francisco baseball Giants had survivors of the 1906 earthquake which rocked the bay area throw out the first pitch(es) in the home opener versus the Braves. The youngest of these whippersnappers was a spritely 99-years-old. Kudos to the Giants for a nice feel-good story. They need one.

Oh, and G-day is tomorrow here in Athens. While that means the return of drunk alumni (coughpatrickcough), it also means the football season is upon us, and that's always good news, no matter who you root for.
