Announcing the NFL Draft Prediction contest

Ok, we're just over a month away from draft time, so I want to get this out here so we can start prepping our handicap sheets.

Here's how this one will play out.

Predict the first round, including trades.

10 pts for coming closest to correct in the overall draft order 1-32. Ties will split these points.

1 pt for selecting the player in the right slot

0.5 pts each for selecting the right position/wrong player (i.e. LenDale White goes #1, you picked Reggie Bush)

0.5 pts each for selecting the right player, wrong team(i.e. Reggie Bush goes #1 to the Jets who trade down, you picked Bush to the Texans).

Clear as mud? Good. Get your draft sheets ready, post questions below.

FYI - as a housecleaning thing, i'm going to move the comments on this blog to the seperate page style, as we have on the N&O page, unless I hear ferverent cries to the contrary.

How do you define "coming the closest"? Does it matter that you have a player within one or two of where they actually go or is a wrong pick a wrong pick entirely?

for the 10 pt question, it's either right or wrong. so, if i get 5/32 correct, and Dante gets 6/32 correct, he wins.

The draft is a month away. Hmm... I may need to wait until Friday, April 27 to even write mine up. All I know is Houston is crazy if/when they pick RB Reggie Bush. RB is the least of their needs/concerns.

The NFL Draft? Is that, like, what happens to good college football players after they disappear?

I thought it was a type of beer?

Wouldn't that make the NFL-Europe the NFL Draft Lite? What about the Arena draft? Is that like Keystone Ice?
